「現実と幻想のあわい」⎪ «Between Reality and Illusion»

VIDEO WINDOW presented the screening programme «Between Reality and Illusion» at Keio University in Tokyo – after presentations at Alpineum Produzentengalerie in Lucerne (2017) and Galeria Vermelho in São Paulo (2017) in collaboration with Videobrasil.

The screening took place within the framework of a residency and research stay by Bruno Z'Graggen, which he completed at co-iki in Tokyo from 22 June to 19 July 2018. The research focused on Japanese video art, which is little known in the West, with studio visits to video artists, interviews and visioning. He also explored Tokyo's art scene and met art professionals. What themes and forms of expression are Japanese artists interested in today, especially in video art? What are the peculiarities and differences, for example, from contemporary art in the West?
